Love Burgers and Fries

My hubby loves Five Guys burgers! So much so that we need stock in the company! One day, we were doing our grocery shopping, and he said, “When we leave here, let’s go to Five Guys and get something quick. I’m hungry.” Well, since we were in the grocery store, and I was in a cooking mood, it didn’t make sense to me to go BUY burgers when I could make them myself. So we bought the ingredients and the result stunned both of us.

Recipe type: Dinner
Cuisine: American
Serves: 4
Ingredients
  • 4 hamburger or steak burger patties
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4-6 red potatoes
  • Oregano
  • Thyme
  • Mrs. Dash table blend seasoning
  • Pepper
  • Cheese
  • Lettuce
  • Tomato
  • Ketchup
  • Mustard
Instructions
  1. Heat stove to medium and oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Season patties with oregano, thyme, pepper, and Mrs. Dash.
  3. Place patties on cast iron grill for 13-15 minutes on medium heat, turning at least once.
  4. Cut potatoes lengthwise.
  5. Place potatoes on a pan that's been sprayed with cooking spray, and bake until slightly brown. (If you prefer traditional fried potatoes, place in hot grease on medium-high heat and cook until they rise to the top of the pan)
  6. Once burgers are almost finished, heat sliced hamburger buns in 350 degree oven for a few minutes until warm.
  7. Top with cheese, lettuce, tomato, ketchup and mustard.

My husband loved the burgers so much he said “We have to do this more often!” So, I figured I must have given Five Guys a little bit of competition!

Thanks for checking out the site Ronnie! We will have to make the pie soon! Hubby wants a sweet potato pie, so we’ll do two! 🙂
