Milk Chocolate Chip Cookies

I loooooove chocolate chip cookies. They are my No. 1 weakness! This is my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe. I like to use the milk chocolate morsels instead of semi-sweet. Who doesn’t like milk chocolate?

Ingredients
  • 2¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 sticks of unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ¾ cup of packed light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups of milk chocolate morsels
Instructions
  1. In electric mixer bowl, beat butter, sugars and vanilla extract until creamy on low speed.
  2. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each one.
  3. In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt.
  4. Beat in flour mixture gradually, adding by ¼ cups at a time, until complete.
  5. Stir in chocolate morsels with a wooden spoon.
  6. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
  7. Use a cookie scoop to place dough on a cookie sheets for a perfectly-shaped cookie.
  8. Bake 10 minutes or until golden brown in a 375 degree oven in middle rack.
  9. Cool for 1 minute in pan before removing to wire racks. Cool completely before storing.

The key to soft cookies is making sure the butter and sugar is room temperature. Let sit out for at least 30 minutes before you start making the cookies.
